Downhill slide!

Well, here we are a couple weeks into the 3rd trimester and just a little over 10 weeks left until Harrison's due date!  The fact that he will be here so soon is becoming more and more real as every day passes.  His kicks and movements are becoming stronger and more frequent.  Lately, my tummy has started to protrude in funny ways because of his movements.  I find myself stopping what I'm doing and just watching my tummy move around.  He is definitely an active little boy!  I'm sure it's a sign of what's to come :-)

Yesterday, I had the Glucola testing for gestational diabetes.  I had to drink this super sugary drink (yuck!) and have some bloodwork done.  Hopefully the results come back good, so I don't have to drink it again.  I also had a regular appointment.  Harrison continues to have a good, strong heartbeat.  In fact, it took the doc a little bit to get a clear beat because he was moving around so much.  He is currently in the head down position and about 3lbs.  Growing boy!  My doctor's appointments are now going to be every 2 weeks...another sign we are on the downhill slide!  Childbirth classes start next week- 3 classes, 3 hours each.  Hopefully they will ease some of my nerves about delivery :-/

I have now gone down to a 4 day work week- off on Fridays.  Before Harrison is here, I will use those Fridays to catch up on rest and work on the nursery.  The plan is for me to also keep this schedule after Harrison arrives.  That way my mom will have a day off during the week to get stuff done, and I will have an extra day to spend with my lil' man.  For those of you who don't know, my mom will be retiring after 30+ years of teaching to take care of Harrison.  Tim and I are super grateful!

My little kiddies have become more and more curious about my growing tummy.  Here are just a few of the many questions I get during the day:

"Do you still have a baby in your tummy?"
"When's your baby coming out?"
"Can I see your baby?"  (As they attempt to lift up my shirt.  Thank goodness for maternity pants that go up really high.)
"Why did you put a baby in your tummy?"

Harrison gets many hugs and kisses throughout the day.  It's super cute!  One more cute kid story and I will quit rambling :-)  One of my sweet kiddies brought me a baby gift the other day.  He was soooo excited to give me my "birthday present!"  I guess when you're 4 any gift is for a birthday!
