Thanksgiving 2014 (and croup)

We had a pretty busy Thanksgiving this year. We started the festivities off Thursday morning and headed to College Station for Thanksgiving with my family. We had tons of delicious food and lots of laughs.

Friday morning Kinley woke up with a pretty yucky cough. I didn't think a whole lot of it because both kids had had runny noses for a few days. I assumed it was allergies.  They both got a Vicks Vapor bath and we went on with our normal plans Friday.

Buddy the Elf also arrived Fruday after nap. He brought the kids each a pair of Christmas pajamas.

Friday evening we went to dinner with Nana, Pawpaw, KK, and Val and got the kids in bed pretty early since they weren't feeling 100%.

About 10pm Kinley woke up with a wheezy cough. I immediately worried about RSV or something more serious. We took her to urgent care. Prognosis- croup. She got a shot, breathing treatment, and prescription for some meds.  She finally went back to sleep around 3am. Rough night.

Saturday morning Harrison woke up with the same yucky cough. I called and got him a prescription for the same meds.  Kinley seemed to be feeling a little better. We had another Thanksgiving with Memaw, Pepaw, and Val. Thankfully we were at our house since the kids weren't feeling well.

We spent the rest of the holiday weekend relaxing and recovering.

As of today, the kids are feeling much better. They still have the cough, but it's not near as bad.

Kinley 17, 18, and 19 months!

Poor Kinley.  I'm so behind on her blogging. Hopefully one day I'll get back to posting at least once a month.

Kinley has been a busy little bee the last 3 months. She's a talker. I'm am constantly amazed at the difference in her speech right now and how Harrison's was at her age.  She has lots of words, some phrases, and tries to sing. She's pretty consistently got the ABCs down through E.

She's busy. She is all over the place all the time. She does a pretty good job of keeping up with Harrison.

She's a great sleeper. We put her down for a nap or bed at night, she lays there, drinks her milk, rubs her lovey on her face, and goes to sleep.  She takes 2-3 hour naps and sleeps 11-12 hours at night.  When she wakes up, she just plays until we go get her.

She loves music and dancing.  I look forward to dance classes in the future.

She's hit the picky stage of eating, so it's pretty hit and miss these days.  Some of her favorites include pizza, meatballs, crackers, green beans, mac and cheese, chips, and chocolate.  She's cutting 6-8 teeth right so could be some of the not eating issue.

She LOVES Harrison.  She wants to be wherever he is and doing whatever he's doing.
