Harrison is HERE!

Harrison Riley arrived yesterday afternoon at 3:03pm.  He was 7lbs 7oz and 19.5in...much smaller than everyone thought!  Everyone is doing great, and it looks like we will all be released tomorrow afternoon/evening.  We are beyond happy and excited!  Thanks to everyone who has come by, emailed, texted, and called.  We are truly blessed!

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...

I can't believe we are merely a week away from Harrison's due date!  Our bags are packed, the carseat is installed, and the nursery is ready...

Everything is progressing normally with my appointments.  Harrison still has a strong heartbeat and is growing right on schedule.  I asked the doc Friday her prediction on his weight at that time.  She said 7lb range, but he's still growing.  My blood pressure was borderline high and my legs and feet were pretty swollen, but the doc wasn't too worried.  She told me to take it easy over the weekend and keep my feet propped up.  So, aside from a few errands, I spent most of last weekend on the couch watching tv and relaxing.

Thursday is my last day of work until the 1st or 2nd week of September.  I'm still hanging in there and working my normal hours.  Thank goodness for a 2.5 hr naptime which allows me to prop my feet up and relax for a little while.  My kids continue to grow more and more curious about my huge tummy!  They still ask me, "Is your baby still in your tummy?"  I just smile and say, "What do you think?"  They have also started asking, "What's your baby doing in there?"  For a while I would just tell them he's sleeping.  But lately I have started telling them, "He's cooking."  Of course their reply is always, "What's he cooking?"  So I tell them, "Donuts."   I can just see them going home and telling their parents, "Mrs Kim's baby is cooking donuts in her tummy!"

A huge thanks to everyone who has thrown and/or attended baby showers for us these last several weeks.  We are greatly appreciative of  everything!  Also, thanks to everyone who has called, texted, or emailed lately to see how I've been feeling.  I appreciate it!  Hopefully my next post will have some pictures of Mr. Harrison!
