Happy Halloween!

Even though, we've all been recovering from a nasty stomach bug that took over our house the last several days, we decided to venture out for Harrison's first Halloween outing. Last year he was just 3 months old, so we stayed home and handed out candy. This year we decided to go to the zoo for Zoo Boo. We bought our tickets a couple weeks ago and hated not to go and at least check it out. We weren't that impressed, but overall I think Harrison enjoyed it.

15 Months!

Harrison is 15 months!!  This post is several days late, but better late than never!

Likes: rocking chairs  sports chicken nuggets  ketchup phones  remote controls  trucks  independence  pizza

Dislikes:  sitting still

Words: doh (sock) du ee (Dusty) buh (book)  He "talks" constantly!  It just doesn't always sound like real words.

Harrison continues to learn more and more every day.  Some of his most recent accomplishments include: learning how to push the lever on the fridge to make water come out (thank goodness there is a lock button to prevent this), climb on the furniture, put his cup and snack catcher on the counters and tables, trying to put our shoes and his shoes on his feet, trying to put on his shorts/pants, and much more!

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we decided we would take Harrison to the Pumpkin Patch.  Luckily, Tim's sister, Val was in town, so she met us there to take some pics of the little man.  Harrison had a blast running around and checking out all the pumpkins.  He also spotted a rocking chair (his lastest obsession) and that was all he wanted to do the rest of the time we were there.  I know Val got some awesome pics of the 3 of us and Harrison, but until those are ready, y'all will have to settle for my mediocre pics.

What a difference a year makes!

After running around for a while, we chose 2 pumpkins- one to carve and one just Harrison's size.  When we got home, he carried that little pumpkin all over the place!  He was pretty attached to it!  He wanted to carry the big one around too!  We decided to go with the traditional pumpkin carving.  I'm not a fan of the ones you trace and then cut out.  I like the ones that show creativity!  We put Harrison up on the table so he could watch.

He's excited!

After we finished carving the pumpkin, we had a little photo shoot on the front porch.  Yes, it was a "no pants" photo shoot.  Sometimes it's just easier to hang out in your t-shirt and diaper ;-)

Happy Halloween!!!

State Fair!!

A couple weeks ago, we decided we would take Harrison to his first State Fair today. We didn't realize until later this was also tx/ou weekend, but we decided we would brave it anyway.

We planned to meet Brandy, Monte, and their two girls there at 11am in front of... Yup, you guessed it Big Tex!! We made it all the way to Dallas with little to no traffic, but as soon as we got on I-30, the traffic got bad quick. When we exited to park, it got even more crazy. We circled around Fair Park once, not purposely, but it worked out fine because we got to scope out our parking choices. We ended up with pretty close parking.

We soon met up with Brandy, Monte, and the girls. We enjoyed some awesome Fletcher's corny dogs, checked out the car tents, and walked through the chicken exhibit. Who knew there were so many kinds of chickens?! Harrison loved them! Poor baby was super tired though, so after that we did alot of walking in hopes he would fall asleep. He finally fell asleep for about 35 minutes and woke up happy and wired! We did a little more walking, got some fried brownies, and decided it was time to head out. We would've liked to stay longer, but there were just way too many people and it was pretty challenging to get anywhere easily. We still had a good time though.

Next time we will make sure we don't go tx/ou weekend!! Too much burnt orange for me ;-)
