Shopping, cereal, and Dusty

Saturday we decided to brave the crowds and do some Christmas shopping.  So, we bundled Harrison up and went to Target, Toys 'R' Us, and Academy.  He wasn't too sure about the cold wind or his hat.

Friday, the doctor said he could start eating some cereal, so we gave brown rice cereal a shot.  He wasn't too sure about it at first, but I think he liked it.  I'm pretty sure more ended up on his bib than in his mouth though.

"I'll do it, Mom."

"I don't know about this."

"Hey, that's not too bad!"

This morning Harrison hung out with Dusty for a little while.  He always watches Dusty, but Dusty doesn't usually let him get too close.  He grabbed his tail a couple times, and surprisingly, Dusty was nice.  After about 3 minutes, Dusty had enough and left.  I have a feeling over the next several months Dusty will be bothered more and more ;-)

Happy 4 Months and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Harrison turned 4 months on Thanksgiving!  He hasn't really cared anything about his elephant the last three months, but this month was a little different.  He wanted to chew on it and throw it around!  Crazy guy!

Harrison had a busy and eventful first Thanksgiving!  Last Sunday, we went to College Station to celebrate with my family.  He did great!
playing with Auntie Em
Yesterday we celebrated in 2 places with Tim's family and went to see my dad.  He was a trooper!  He was having so much fun and was so excited he barely slept all day!

Today, Harrison had his 4 month appointment and shots.  His doctor said, "he's perfect!"  Of course, we already knew that ;-)  He is growing right on track- weighing in at 15lbs, 11.5oz and 25 3/4 inches long.  The doctor said he could start some different solids (rice cereal, veggies, and fruits) over the next few weeks.  First up on the list will be brown rice cereal.  We will do that for about a week and then move into a veggie.  I think he's definitely ready for some variety!  He got 3 shots and took them like a champ!!  Tim and I were sooo proud of him!  He even felt good enough to play with Jillian a little later on.  He was so into watching her play and run around, and she did great with him!

Harrison's latest accomplishments:

chewing on his toes

sitting with a little help

playing in the exersaucer

Tim and I are learning more and more every day and enjoying every minute of it!
