Beach!

Last week Tim had three days (mon-wed) of work training in Galveston. Of course, we decided what a great time to take another little vacation and let Harrison experience the beach for the first time! Sooo, Sunday, we packed what seemed like the whole house and headed south! Harrison did really well on the way down there. He slept almost to College Station where we decided we would stop for lunch and stretching. After lunch, we decided to go out to the Bonfire Memorial to let Harrison do some walking.

Then back on the road we went. He took another decent nap. We got to the hotel, checked in, went to dinner, and did some swimming at the pool. That's pretty much what we did all week- swim, eat, and sleep :-) Two other guys Tim works with brought their wives and kids, so Harrison and I hung out with them while the guys had training. Harrison did really good for the most part. Napping was off schedule so there were times he got pretty fussy, and he was so interested in everything that was going on around him that getting him to sit still and eat was a challenge. He loves the water and swimming, so I was fairly certain he'd love the beach. He did!! He had no fear at all!! He just walked right on out to the water. He was a little hesitant about playing in the sand though. We left Galveston Friday morning and went to Emily and Reed's until Saturday. Harrison was sooooo excited to have a house to run around! We did some more swimming, relaxing, went to Emily's baby shower, and headed back home. We all had a lot of fun, but we were definitely ready to get back home!
