Toddler Bed!!

A few weeks ago we decided it was time for Harrison to make the switch to a toddler bed.  All we had to do was take the front panel off his crib and put a little side rail on. It was a super easy transition. We were soooo worried he would climb out and get into stuff or roam the house at night. He has only gotten out of it once without us coming in and telling him it's ok to get up, and that was after a nap. He got up, opened his door, came into the living room, and started playing.

He has also switched out of the crib at Mama C's!  He had a seamless transition to this toddler cot over there!  

Next up- Potty Training!!!

Westfest 2013!

This was Harrison's 2nd Westfest and Kinley's first.  It was a hot one, but we still had alot of fun! 

 

 

Saturday morning Kinley went to hang out with Mama C and Harrison went to the parade.  He loved it!  He really enjoyed all the fire trucks.

Sunday we decided we would brave the heat and take both kids out to the Westfest grounds.

This was the first year we had ever seen sprinklers set up in a couple places.  Harrison had a blast running through them.  He definitely stayed cooler than the rest of us. 

Thank goodness Westfest is only once a year!  Lots of fun, but very tiring! 

Harrison is 2!!

Harrison turned 2 on July 24th!  It's hard to believe we have a 2 year old.  

 

He...

is becoming more and more of a little boy each day. 

talks nonstop and has tons of energy.  He keeps us on our toes for sure.  

is very opinionated and stubborn at times. 

doesn't eat the best, but he has a sweet tooth just like his Daddy and I. 

loves to be outside and throws a fit when it's time to come in. 

very observant.  Nothing gets by him!

is learning his letters and how to count. 

absolutely LOVES Kinley and is an awesome big brother!

 

 

 

These last two years have flown by!  They have been soooo much fun and challenging at the same time, but we wouldn't change it for anything! 

 

A couple days before Harrison's birthday Pawpaw, Nana, and Aunt KK brought Harrison his present...

Harrison's birthday morning started out with some chocolate chip waffles.  He loved them!

Kinley- 5 months!

Kinley turned 5 months old on September 24th!  She has changed so much in the last month!  

She is rolling EVERYWHERE!  She wants to crawl, but just doesn't have the strength yet. She gets up on her elbows and knees, but can't quite get anywhere yet. She can find a way to get where she wants to go though. She tries to sit up and can for a little bit, but not for any length of time. 

She's got a variety of foods on her menu these days- oatmeal cereal, apples, pears, bananas, prunes, peaches, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, squash, and avocado. She's not a big fan of the avocado or peas. 

We no longer have her sleeping in the pack n play in our room. Soon after she turned 4 months we started putting her in the crib in her room. Thankfully it was an easy transition. She naps pretty good in there too.
