The only way I could get him to sit even remotely still was to give him my phone.

Harrison wanted NOTHING to do with sitting next to his elephant, smiling, and taking pics this afternoon.  He is on-the-go ALL the time!  He wanted to stand in the crib and peek over the rail, he wanted to throw his elephant out of the crib, and he wanted to crawl all over the crib.  Crazy guy!  (Picture outtakes at the end of the post.)

I predicted he would be walking by 10 months, but he's not... yet.  He is a very speedy crawler though!  Especially if he is going for something he shouldn't be- Dusty's food or our wine rack.  We've been working on standing alone and walking, but I don't think he is quite ready.  He will stand on his own for a few seconds, but it has to be his idea.  Stubborn, little thing!  Sometimes he will try to take a step, but he ends up just lunging forward.  He is getting better about holding our hands and walking around.  Occassionaly, I can even get him to hold just one of my hands and walk a little way.  He loves walking with his walking toys, pushing chairs, and rolling his highchair through the kitchen.  He just doesn't quite have the balance to let go and do it on his own yet.

Harrison is learning new ways to play with his toys.  He puts smaller toys in buckets and cups and shakes them.  He has a couple Easter eggs in his toy box, and he knows how to pull them apart.  He pushes his cars and trucks around.  He tries to stack toys, but doesn't quite have the hang of it.  He takes books off his shelf and brings them to us to read.  (I'm so glad he loves books and reading.)

We are slowly introducing more and more table foods.  Baby food is just not a favorite right now.  He still eats it, but some days it takes a lot of coaxing.  I'm still waiting on a few more teeth to come in before I fully switch to table food.

He's understanding more and more of what we say.  When we tell him to get his cup/milk, he gets it.  If we tell him to throw the ball, he will.  He understands, "give kisses" and "come here."  He knows what "no" means, but doesn't always listen :-)  Every afternoon when I hear the garage open, I tell him, "Daddy's home!"  He crawls as fast as he can over to the baby gate and waits for Tim to come in.  He still hasn't said any real words, but he babbles and makes noises constantly!

10 month stats
20-22lbs
29-30in
2 bottom teeth all the way through
2 top teeth poking through
