Memorial Day Weekend

Harrison had a VERY eventful 1st Memorial Day weekend!  It started off Friday with a little shopping and lunch with Mama C, Auntie Em, and Aunt Val.  Then after a nice long nap and some playing we went to dinner with Auntie Em and Aunt Val.  He definitely enjoyed his "Aunt time!"

Saturday afternoon we headed to West to celebrate Miss Kadence's 1st birthday!  Harrison had a blast!  He rode around with Kadence in her wagon, crawled around, watched Kadence "smash" her cake and open presents, played with balloons, and enjoyed his first cupcake!

Saturday night Mama C and Auntie Em came over for dinner.  We enjoyed burgers and brownie sundaes!

Sunday morning we did a little relaxing in order to get ready for an afternoon of swimming.  Our good friends, the McKowns, invited us to go swimming.  We took Harrison over there last Labor day, and he was not a fan of swimming.  BUT... he was only a little over a month old.  This time was a different story.  He LOVED it!!  He just hung out in the floatie and had a blast!

He was definitely a tired baby after swimming all afternoon!  We got in the car to come home, and he was alseep within a matter of minutes.  He didn't even wake up when we got him out of the carseat and put him in bed.  AND... he slept 45 minutes later than normal this morning!

Today, we met PawPaw, Nana, and Aunt KK at the Cameron Park Zoo.  We took Harrison to this zoo back in October for a birthday party.  It was pretty chilly that day, so we didn't see many animals.  Plus, he was really little.  Today, I think he thoroughly enjoyed it.  I think the aquariums were his favorite.

After we got home and rested for a little while, we decided to set up the splash pad we had gotten Harrison. After about 10 minutes, it was all set up and ready to go. Harrison was a little hesitant at first, but he ended up loving it! He was crawling around, pulling up, and splashing!

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the long weekend, but we still remember Memorial Day isn't just about an extra day off, swimming, and zoo trips.

Thanks to all of those who have served or are serving our country!
